Winter Worries
Tiredness – Winter days are shorter and colder as a consequence we spend more time indoors and inevitably suffer more often from a lack of energy. We tend to eat less fruit and vegetables and get less access to sunlight which provides us with vitamin D. Make sure you keep on top of things and get your recommended daily allowance of vitamin D.
Winter Stiffness – The cold winter weather can often cause stiffness of the joints and muscles. There are 3 supplements which you may wish to take which are said to help alleviated the symptoms of stiffness:
Glucosamine – an amino acid usually formed from glucose and found in high concentrations around our joints.
MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) – is a natural compound found in all living things and the 4th most common mineral in our bodies.
Calcium and Magnesium – which when taken in the correct ratios can have a positive effect on tired and aching joints and muscles.
